1ST TEAM PLAYERS

Name: Callie Messingham

Squad Position: Goalkeeper
Squad Number: 1
D.O.B: 26/01/91
Previous Clubs: Fleet, Wey Valley, Harpenden & Reading Royals.
Height: 5 foot 7

"Callie signed for Aldershot Ladies this season 2011/2012 from Fleet Town Ladies. She wanted more of a challenge playing at a higher level of football and will therefore enjoy playing for the Shots.

Callie's been playing football for just over 12 years, her first interest was at primary school and she played in a boys team between the ages of 7-11 where she then discovered her local club had a girls team. She was originally a natural right footed striker but after her fearless volunteering to go between the sticks every week, it stuck and she became Number 1 Shot stopper. She finished secondary school with a handful of GCSE's and always wanted to continue her passion for football. She studied BTEC National Sport and NVQ LEVEL 1 & 2 in Football Coaching at Tomlinscote 6th Form College.

She spent 2 Seasons at Fleet Town before it turned into a ladies team, then continued for a further 2 seasons, 1 of them wearing the captains band! Taking last year out due to injury, Callie was itching to get back playing and didn't hesitate to look for a club. And then she found the Shots. She's looking forward to a positive future with Aldershot for many seasons to come and to continue playing football for as long as she can".
